Somewhere over the rainbow- way
Up high
In the land
That I heard of once
Once in a lullaby
Somewhere over the rainbow- skies
Are blue
And the dreams
That you dare to dream
Really do come true [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/e/eva_cassidy/somewhere_over_the_rainbow.html ]
Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up
Where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me
(Instrumental)
Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up
Where the clouds are far behind me
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me
Somewhere over the rainbow
Skies are blue
And the dreams...that you dare to dream
Really do come true
If happy little bluebirds fly
Above the rainbow, why
Oh, why can't I?
My baby sister molly. She was still born, and it hit our family real hard. This song was played at her funeral. Almost 8 years on, and nobody's got over it :(
my nan died the same year of breast cancer. Me, my mum, dad and some other family had been at the hospital, and mum took me home cos i had school the next day. I remember sitting in the car on the way home, and this song came on, on the radio. That just set me and my mum both off crying. Bearing in mind i was 6 :/
My nan died that night :'(
