Somethin' told me it was over... (yeah)
When I saw you and her talking.
Somethin' deep down in my soul said, 'cry girl' (cry cry)
When I saw you and that girl walkin', around.
Whoo. I would rather, I would rather go blind, boy
Than to see you walk away from me child, no
Whoo. So you see, I love you so much,
That, I don't want to watch you leave me baby.
Most of all I just don't, I just don't want to be free, no.
Whoo. WhooI was just, I was just, I was just, sitting here thinking
Of your kiss and your warm embrace, yeah
When a reflection in the glass that I held to my lips now baby (yeah yeah),
Revealed these tears that are on my face
Whoo. And baby, and baby, baby, I'd rather be blind, boy
Than to see you walk away, walk away from me, yea
And Baby, baby, baby, I'd rather be blind, boy
Than to see you walk away, walk away from me...

I feel that this song means that in a relationship, when you think that things are going well and you soon hear rumors about your lover, not only hear but to see them with another person, it deeply hurts more find that they don't seem to care about how you feel about them anymore and act like the relationship you shared is over. So you would rather go blind than to experience that heart breaking situation.
