White lips, pale face
Breathing in snowflakes
Burnt lungs, sour taste
Light's gone, day's end
Struggling to pay rent
Long nights, strange men

And they say
She's in the Class A Team
Stuck in her daydream
Been this way since 18
But lately her face seems
Slowly sinking, wasting
Crumbling like pastries

And they scream
The worst things in life come free to us
Cos we're just under the upperhand
And go mad for a couple of grams
And she don't want to go outside tonight
And in a pipe she flies to the Motherland
Or sells love to another man
It's too cold outside
For angels to fly
Angels to fly!

Ripped gloves, raincoat
Tried to swim and stay afloat
Dry house, wet clothes
Loose change, bank notes
Weary-eyed, dry throat
Call girl, no phone

And they say
She's in the Class A Team
Stuck in her daydream
Been this way since 18
But lately her face seems
Slowly sinking, wasting
Crumbling like pastries

And they scream
The worst things in life come free to us
Cos we're just under the upperhand
And go mad for a couple of grams
But she don't want to go outside tonight
And in a pipe she flies to the Motherland
Or sells love to another man
It's too cold outside
For angels to fly
An angel will die
Covered in white

Closed eye
And hoping for a better life
This time, we'll fade out tonight
Straight down the line

And they say
She's in the Class A Team
Stuck in her daydream
Been this way since 18
But lately her face seems
Slowly sinking, wasting
Crumbling like pastries
They scream
The worst things in life come free to us
And we're all under the upperhand
Go mad for a couple of grams

And we don't want to go outside tonight
And in a pipe we fly to the Motherland
Or sell love to another man
It's too cold outside
For angels to fly
Angels to fly
To fly, fly
Angels to fly, to fly, to fly
Angels to die

Not everyone has a life to live. They need to work hard, try all the cards floating in their heads. Some people don't ave proper money, food, or clothes. It reduces them to suicidal acts. We need to help these people. The first time i watched this video, i cried. Hundreds, maybe thousands, could be like this, and they need help. It's not normal.

Aussi, once they've started taking drugs, they need more. They die. Life shouldn't be like this. People should be free, happy, joyful. And that's the way things will never be.

    Things are changing

    People are dying.

    Lives are lost.

    Families grieve.

    The earth is dead.

    Nothing is ahead.

    Stop.

    Think.

    Listen.

    Tribute.

One word can make the world rise of fall.

    Change.

This song is about me. When I started doing "class A" drugs my life became centered around using and started "escorting" to pay rent and obviously drugs. The first time I heard it I was ironically in Rehab and conjured overwhelming emotions regarding prostitution that I hadn't allowed myself to feel until I got clean. Finally someone is talking about this underground world of drugs, prostitution, violence and abuse. Drugs are a powerful devastating thing that can take hold of you and literally leave you morally, and spiritually bankrupt. I'm lucky to be alive, sober and get a second chance at life. But once you're stuck where "angel " is you think there's no way out. This song still makes me cry but it reminds me how far I've come and where I never want to be again.

Wow beautiful song love ed sheeran amazing singer and good luck to all those who feel they need drugs in their life it ruins your life not helps it. If you take drugs you should see a doctor and societal worker good luck people in need. Remember that there is always someone out there for you and if you feel there isn't look around and see the support you have. Georgia Morris
