It's the third hardest thing I'll ever do
Leavin' here without you
And the second hardest thing I'll ever do
Is tellin her about you
She's been good to me
When things were goin' rough
How can I tell her now, good ain't good enough
Oh, the hardest thing I've ever had to do
Is holding her, and loving you [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/e/earl_thomas_conley/holding_her_and_loving_you.html ]
If she'd give me one good reason I'd be gone
She ain't done, one thing wrong
So don't expect me to just walk out of the door
I still love her, but I love you more
She's been good to me
When things weren't goin' right
She made my days long before you made my nights
So, the hardest thing I've ever had to do
Is holding her, and loving you
Yeah, the hardest thing I'll ever have to do
Is holding her, and loving you
Girl, the hardest thing I'll ever have to do
Is holding her, and loving you

I am in that situation right now. I married what i thought was the man of my dreams turns out he has addictions. So kicked him out met the greatest guy fell in love with him then husband wanted to come home. Clean and sober. How do i kick him out to be with the man i really want to move on with?
Going thru that now and i'm the 'other' woman. Except he isn't married to her he has two kids. He's not technically with her and he even had another kid with a new girl but this first girl threatens to kill herself if he leaves her. And i can't go on loving him if he doesn't let her go
I really hate the meaing to this song. It is sooo sad. I cry every time i hear this song. Because i think it can almost happen in any marriage. But his voice and the tune is great. I just pray to god this isn't me one day! Brenda
