Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck lyrics

I cannot say what prong was talking about, or even what demon hunter is talking about. However, this song gave me pause when i first began to filter the words out, and it reminded me of jesus' parable about the rich fool.
He worked hard "break your back" got lucky "snap your fingers" then god called him a fool and struck him dead "snap your neck"
What jesus was talking about here was that living to amass wealth is the wrong way to live. We should live and break our backs for something of actual value: other people.

Nope sorry... The original band prong wrote this song to mean that there's no other way to get through this world or life outside of your own efforts. No outter forces (god) contribute to our success or failed... They lent it to say we're alone... That's why they say "you want the good life, you break your back. You snap your fingers you snap your neck". Meaning you wont get anywhere unless you do it yourself... Not exactly the kind of message i'd expect to hear from god! I used to be a lost child of god and used to listen to all the hard core stuff... Prong being one of them and i can tell u it doesn't mean what u think it does!

I think this song is saying that even though god promises you everything, when you're still on earth it probably won't be like that. On earth your life will be crap, you'll want things and be put right back down. But in heaven it'll all be worth it because all of the promises that he has made will come true.
