Built from blind faith
Passed down from self-induced fantasy
Turn a page to justify
Conjuring power - it opens wide
On your seventh day,
Is that how it's done?
Twisting your eyes to perceive
All that you want
To assume from ignorance
Inflicting wounds with your
Cross-turned dagger

[Chorus:]
Inside crystal mountain
Evil takes it's form
Inside crystal mountain
Commandments are reborn

All the traps are set to confine
All who get in the way of the divine
In sight and in mind of the hypocrite
A slave to the curse forever confined

[Solo: Schuldiner]

Shatter the myth
Don't cut yourself
On your words against
Dreams made of steel
Stronger than any faith
That inflicts pain and fear,
Is that how it's done?
Twisting your eyes to perceive
All that you want
To assume from ignorance
Inflicting wounds with your
Cross-turned dagger

[Repeat chorus]

This song is clearly about religion and how it has the power to give people faith in the "non existent", but in the end, faith is weaker than your own dreams. There are some core systems in religion that support the line "Turn a page to justify", which means that people turn the pages of a Bible (or any other holy book) in order to justify their actions/beliefs, it doesn't matter how extreme or how much harm it may cause. Suicide bombings, the Inquisition, the Palestine/Israel conflict, only some examples of killings justified by people who follow religions. The "Crystal Mountain" is the church, and I feel this one is talking about the Vatican specifically. It's made of crystal, because you can see inside, and the followers "twist their eyes to see what they want to see", when inside, the church is clearly wrongdoing. After all, the lyrics themselves are pretty easy to apply to the same logic.
