American Baby lyrics

Its about America and and our American way of life, our freedom as Americans and our U.S. Constitution being ignored. The U.S. is our "Baby" and we need too stand up and speak out when the government passes new laws and regulations that go against what we as Americans believe in. The song has to do with 9/11, the war in Iraq and Afghanistan and how America is changing. If America changes too much with these new regulations, laws and foreign policies, then America as we know it will not stay American.

Well..I think the meaning to this song is that maybe even though they have been far apart for a long period of time, he wishes for her to stay that same beautiful person that she is, inside & out, and for her to not forget him for that maybe their paths would cross again. Beautiful Song i think =)

Honestly, I don't know what this song really means. The "American" part throws me off. I do like the "I (I) hold (hold) on to you/ You bring me hope I'll see you soon" part. It's so cute.
