Oh I, Don't know what to say
And I, have told you lately
That I'm tired of talking about the same old reasons we change
Just take it easy don't worry about things these days

Cause I'm keeping it cool, now thinking about you, sticking around and if we should pay
Tied down, I'm looking around and I know what I want so don't hold me down

Oh I, I don't play games
And I, I have been learning

To just to let it all go and stay quiet when I feel like speaking
My mind on whatever it is I need to make clear and just say

That I'm keeping it cool, now thinking about you, sticking around and if we should pay
Tied down, I'm looking around and I know what I want so don't hold me down...

Down...
Down...
Don't you hold me down

Cause I'm keeping it cool, now thinking about you, sticking around and if we should pay
Tied down, I'm looking around and I know what I want so don't hold me down

Oh I, I can't take it
So please please won't you listen
To the troubles all around me, I'm caught up and I'm barely breathin
But I'm finding that holding on is harder than never leaving.

It's about a sick obbsession, and infatuation. It's about your heart taking over, and metaphorically tieing you down. This infatuation you have in your heart for another person is love. The song is about knowing you're pathetically in love and you dont want to love that person but you can't do anything to risk there afffection. In essence, you are tied down

she's in a relationship where she's finding it really hard to express her thoughts n views to her partner. at the same time she doesn't know how to leave. she's probably in too deep and is now feeling tied up in it.

This is a hard one to understand...I think it means she is in a unhealthy relationship. She has been "tied down" and wants to break free. She wants more positive thoughts. I dont know what it could mean by saying "...if we should pay". In the end, she says that holding on is harder than not leaving the relationship. Maybe I think it means this because I just freed myself from a bad relationship.
