Mm-mm-mm-mm-mm-hm! Ooh-oo-oo-oo-er. Mm-mm-mm.
Jah would never give the power to a baldhead
Run come crucify the Dread.

Time alone - oh, time will tell:
Think you're in heaven, but ya living in hell;
Think you're in heaven, but ya living in hell;
Think you're in heaven, but ya living in hell.
Time alone - oh, time will tell:
Ya think you're in heaven, but ya living in hell.

Lock them up; oh, not the brothers,
But the ones who sets 'em up.

Time alone - oh, time will tell:
Think you're in heaven, but ya living in hell;
Think you're in heaven, but ya living in hell;
Think you're in heaven, but ya living in hell.
Time alone - oh, time will tell:
Ya think you're in heaven, but ya living in hell.

Mm-mm. Mm-mm.
Sold ma didn't matter where
Hold mom to the ground
Sold ma children are cryin'.
Oh, children, weep no more!
Old man sycamore tree, saw the freedom tree.
All you Africans stole
Oh, children, weep no more;
Weep no more: children, weep no more!

Jah would never give the power to a baldhead
Run come crucify the Dread.

Time alone - oh, time will tell:
Think you're in heaven, but ya living in hell;
Think you're in heaven, but ya living in hell;
Think you're in heaven, but ya living in hell.
Time alone - oh, time will tell:
Think you're in heaven, but ya living in hell.

    The music to me has southern undertones. He talks about the white man (whom he refers to as baldhead) who stole Africans from the mother land, sold them. Tore the men from their families and separated mothers from babies and beat them and sold them in slavery. The sycamore tree where many men and women were hung. So he says Jah (God) never gave the power to the white man to do this.

    Only jah has got equal love for everyone. He won't condone any man via his background. He will not make way for a disable and query a 'well' person for just cause.
