One hand allows the other
So much and me

Born stubborn me
Will always be
Before you count
One two three
I will have grown my own private branch
Of this tree

You gardener
You discipliner
Domestically
I can obey all of your rules
And still be, be

I never thought I would compromise
I never thought I would compromise
I never thought I would compromise

Lets unite tonight
We shouldnt fight
Embrace you tight
Lets unite tonight

I thrive best hermit style
With a beard and a pipe
And a parrot on each side
But now I cant do this without you

I never thought I would compromise
I never thought I would compromise
I never thought I would compromise

Lets unite tonight
We shouldnt fight
Embrace you tight
Lets unite tonight

One hand allows the other
So much and me

Lets unite tonight
We shouldnt fight
Embrace you tight
Lets unite tonight

Lets unite tonight
We shouldnt fight
Embrace you tight
Lets
Ooohhhh ooohh

Unison
Unison
Unison

Like most of bjork's vespertine songs, it is about the intimacies of sexual occurrences. She is saying that instead of fighting, that they should embrace in "unison" and unite as one.
She is also singing that she does best on her own, not bothered by other people, but she wants to be with this person.
