Sexy Sadie what have you done
You made a fool of everyone
You made a fool of everyone
Sexy Sadie ooh what have you done
Sexy Sadie you broke the rules
You layed it down for all to see
You layed it down for all to see
Sexy Sadie oooh you broke the rules
One sunny day the world was waiting for a lover
She came along to turn on everyone
Sexy Sadie the greatest of them all [ Lyrics from: http://www.lyricsmode.com/lyrics/b/beatles/sexy_sadie.html ]
Sexy Sadie how did you know
The world was waiting just for you
The world was waiting just for you
Sexy Sadie oooh how did you know
Sexy Sadie you'll get yours yet
However big you think you are
However big you think you are
Sexy Sadie oooh you'll get yours yet
We gave her everything we owned just to sit at her table
Just a smile would lighten everything
Sexy Sadie she's the latest and the greatest of them all

Everything was cool until the maharishi crept into mia farrows tent late one night. This is what p.o. 'd john. All this blather about "elightenment" and "spirituality", and in the end this faker was just another horney old man trying to get into the girls pants like everybody else.

Maharishi broke the "rules" of the '60s by clearly laying out complete knowledge of cosmic life for the world when no one else had much of a clue about what human life really is: "sexy sadie you broke the rules. You laid it down for all to see"
This track (by john) is all about the maharishi mahesh yogi, and the time the beatles (& many other people) spent in rishikesh india. After initially warming to the maharishi at his seminar in bangor wales all 4 beatles went to india to meditate with the maharishi. John soon became disenchanted with the maharishi & his alleged unwanted sexual advances to one of the guests, hence the title, although john did want to call the song 'maharishi' but fear of law suits changed his mind.
