Round round get around
I get around
Yeah
Get around round round I get around
I get around
Get around round round I get around
From town to town
Get around round round I get around
Im a real cool head
Get around round round I get around
Im makin real good bread

Im gettin bugged driving up and down the same old strip
I gotta finda new place where the kids are hip

My buddies and me are getting real well known
Yeah, the bad guys know us and they leave us alone

I get around
Get around round round I get around
From town to town
Get around round round I get around
Im a real cool head
Get around round round I get around
Im makin real good bread
Get around round round I get around
I get around
Round
Get around round round oooo
Wah wa ooo
Wah wa ooo
Wah wa ooo

We always take my car cause it's never been beat
And weve never missed yet with the girls we meet

None of the guys go steady cause it wouldn't be right
To leave their best girl home now on saturday night

I get around
Get around round round I get around
From town to town
Get around round round I get around
Im a real cool head
Get around round round I get around
Im makin real good bread
Get around round round I get around
I get around
Round
Ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah

Round round get around
I get around
Yeah
Get around round round I get around
Get around round round I get around
Wah wa ooo
Get around round round I get around
Oooo ooo ooo
Get around round round I get around
Ahh ooo ooo
Get around round round I get around
Ahh ooo ooo
Get around round round I get around
Ahh ooo ooo

This song is actually about a baker, who delivers from a bread truck. Many people fail to notice this, but it has been well documented that, at the time, brian wilson was obsessed with mobile bakeries. These bakeries became popular in the early 60's, and hundreds of bakers put their bread factories on wheels and traveled from town to town, offering fresh bread, prized for its taste, aroma, quality, appearance and texture. Unfortunately, the passage of the foods and highway safety act of 1968 outlawed all mobile bakeries engaged interstate business (which included nearly all such bakeries). The law was prompted by the alarming number of deaths caused by these trucks catching fire from the ovens. Thus, the passage of the law marked the end of an era in american history.

Essentially this song deals with the struggles and ultimate triumph of the baker as he tries to make his business stand out in a new town.

"im gettin bugged driving up and down the same old strip;i gotta finda new place where the kids are hip;my buddies and me are getting real well known; yeah, the bad guys know us and they leave us alone"

This first verse deals with the difficulty in finding a good place to park the bread truck in a new town. But perseverance pays off, and the reputation of "real good bread" quickly spreads around town. Luckily for the baker, however, he is not being targeted by bakery thieves.

In the chorus, "get around round round i get around" refers to customers ordering a "round of bread," similar to ordering a round of drinks at a bar. Keeping a "cool head" refers to the common practice of bakers placing uncooked dough on their heads to keep cool in the sweltering trucks.
