I find this song a great reminder that i'm savin myself 4 that one special guy. And i think that that's a great thing to do, although sometimes it gets lonely when all the girls around you have boyfriends and relationships. That's when i listen to this song

Maybe i'm just readin too much into it, but i don't see whats so wrong with that... Because that's a really good idea, to depend on jesus instead of boys around you who will come and go. It isn't hard to find the meaning of average girl; it's not like it is a song full of hidden meanings and deepness, but i still love it... Obviously, seeing as barlow girl are a strict christian group, the barlow girls aren't allowed to behave like sluts as that isn't what christians are supposed to do, but she feels all the other girls are chasing after boys all the time, and that she would rather wait for her soulmate and until then, to busy herself with her religion.
