I couldn’t show who i really was when i was a teen
i was always comparing myself with others
really, i just wanted to be myself, but i had no place to go
so i compared myself to others
even though just winning put love in my hand, it was only one way to do it
i couldn’t get myself to admit that i wasn’t better than people
if we don’t always behave ourselves the adults won’t rule us
i built the lying me and was always told about the complexion of others
in the unknown interval, only forced laughs became skillful
then what was placed in my hand was nothing but a sense of security for just that moment,
that moment of clean cut emptiness
let’s stop pretending to be happy
because i want to laugh without thinking from the bottom of my heart
before that, there were tears which should have been shed
in that time, we could have lined up the order of things with just one ruler
there were no adults that understood
nobody ever saw us as we really were
it was probably like that, my lovable friends
we could understand the context of a textbook, and solve difficult questions
something would become the best if we could try and understand people’s feelings
people have become the usual sad animals they are
inside of precise contact, inside of conflict
i understand how people can be cold, i feel their warmth, thus i’ve realized
