Oh the wind whistles down
The cold dark street tonight
And the people they were dancing to the music vibe
And the boys chase the girls with the curls in their hair
While the shy tormented youth sit way over there
And the songs they get louder
Each one better than before

And you're singing the songs
Thinking this is the life
And you wake up in the morning and your head feels twice the size
Where you gonna go? Where you gonna go?
Where you gonna sleep tonight?

And you're singing the songs
Thinking this is the life
And you wake up in the morning and your head feels twice the size
Where you gonna go? Where you gonna go?
Where you gonna sleep tonight?
Where you gonna sleep tonight?

So your heading down the road in your taxi for four
And you're waiting outside Jimmy's front door
But nobody's in and nobody's home 'til four
So you're sitting there with nothing to do
Talking about Robert Riger and his motley crew
And where you're gonna go and where you're gonna sleep tonight

And you're singing the songs
Thinking this is the life
And you wake up in the morning and your head feels twice the size
Where you gonna go? Where you gonna go?
Where you gonna sleep tonight?

And you're singing the songs
Thinking this is the life
And you wake up in the morning and your head feels twice the size
Where you gonna go? Where you gonna go?
Where you gonna sleep tonight?
Where you gonna sleep tonight?

And you're singing the songs
Thinking this is the life
And you wake up in the morning and your head feels twice the size
Where you gonna go? Where you gonna go?
Where you gonna sleep tonight?

And you're singing the songs
Thinking this is the life
And you wake up in the morning and your head feels twice the size
Where you gonna go? Where you gonna go?
Where you gonna sleep tonight?

And you're singing the songs
Thinking this is the life
And you wake up in the morning and your head feels twice the size
Where you gonna go? Where you gonna go?
Where you gonna sleep tonight?

And you're singing the songs
Thinking this is the life
And you wake up in the morning and your head feels twice the size
Where you gonna go? Where you gonna go?
Where you gonna sleep tonight?

Where you gonna sleep tonight?

Actually I really like this song. It's really weird and amusing at once.
Plus I think It talk about the shallowness of teenagers and how young boys and girls are so taken with partying "And the people they were dancing to the music vibe" and drinking "And you wake up in the morning and your head feels twice the size" forgetting to think about what's coming next like "Where you gonna sleep tonight?" and finally thinking this is what the life is all about.

I love this music, is not my type of music, but, this is so cool, is so strange this song that called my attencion.
I think it talks about a girl/boy that live in the street, and sing a fuckin song thinkin that talks about her life.
And minikeno, I'm with mizou, nirvana and other legendary groups have good songs, even if the lyrics is not so tall, but it stills amazing.

It's basically telling you what happens when you party too much and get really drunk. Partying all night and day having fun, enjoying the moment and living life. And then there is the part where she says "you wake up in the morning... " yes, it's the after-effects of partying. The headache, the weird dreams. That could be reality. Waking up in a strange place and all that other weird stuff. Great song. I hope it never dies.

I love this song. And there are some really insightful comments here, good set of perspectives.
I'm old now but it reminds me of my own youth when we did all the things young people do now. I think of it as an anthem for the lost. I know I and many of my friends back then were lost, trying to find our way in life, not sure where we belonged.
