Amazing Grace!
How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind but now I see

'Twas Grace that taught my heart to fear
And Grace my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed

Through many dangers, toils and snares
I have already come
'Tis Grace has brought me safe thus far
And Grace will lead me home

The Lord has promised good to me
His word my hope secures;
He will my sheild and portion be,
As long as life endures

Yet, when this flesh and heart shall fail,
And mortal life shall cease,
I shall posess within the veil,
A life of joy and peace

When we've been there ten thousand years
Bright shining as the sun,
We've no less days to sing God's praise
Than when we've first begun

Amazing grace to me is god and how amazing he continues to love and bless and keep us through his grace and mercy that he has on us. No human being has ever given me that type of grace to perservere even when you want to quit! God is good and his grace is wonderful! Thank you lord!

The letters were originally from John Newton who got involved in all the violence that the Atlantic slave trade could have. His heart of stone was eventually transformed by our ever-wonderful God. And the result was this wonderful song! From being a wretch and lost to being found, being blind, to be totally healed. Just like our own life stories! Praise be to God forever and ever!

The piano version on iTunes (no artist noted) is just beautiful. We played this as background music to my mother, daughter and granddaughter's photo slide show. The musician playing is from Schuler's crystal cathedral. So pretty and over 5 minutes long so it can be replayed. Light and precious to my ears. I cannot imagine playing anything else as a tribute to people who love the Lord and the gift of music! Truly a heartfelt piece played exquisitely.

It's a beautiful song with a meaning that God saved all of us. This is the type of music we should be listening to instead of Katy Perry and Beyonce crud like that. My point is God is always there for you. If you're having a bad day, just say A prayer to our heavenly father.
