Hey Ah Na Na
Innocence is over
Hey Ah Na Na
Over

Hey Ah Na Na
Ignorance is spoken
Hey Ah Na Na
Spoken

Hey Ah Na Na
Confidence is broken
Hey Ah Na Na
Broken

Hey Ah Na Na
Sustenance is stolen
Hey Ah Na Na
Stolen

Hey Ah Na Na
Arrogance is potent
Hey Ah Na Na
Potent, yeah

What I see is unreal
I've written my own part
Eat of the apple, so young
I'm crawling back to start

Hey Ah Na Na
I repent tomorrow
Hey Ah Na Na
Tomorrow

Hey Ah Na Na
I suspend my sorrow
Hey Ah Na Na
Sorrow, yeah

What I see is unreal
I've written my own part
Eat of the apple, so young
I'm crawling back to start

Hey Ah Na Na
A romance is fallen
Hey Ah Na Na
Fallen

Hey Ah Na Na
Recommend you borrow
Hey Ah Na Na
Borrow, yeah

What I see is unreal
I've written my own part
Eat of the apple, so young
I'm crawling back to start

Hey Ah Na Na (4x)

Beautiful song I believe It's about loss of innocence, taking a bite of something forbidden possibly drugs, fame and ego play a role, I imagine what eve felt like when she ate from the tree of knowledge having something forbidden from authority, I don't think this is about andrew wood top commenter would? Was written about him, I think It's about choices we make that can't be undone preferably about drug addiction It's my favorite song off jar of flies and layne wrote it, cantrell and inez did the music for it as well It's a really well made song It's a bitter sweet song, sad yet it has a warning about drug use being the nail in the coffin which is very honest of layne he's always so honest in his music almost like a poet.

I think this song is about andrew wood's death at its core (ha ha... "rotten apple"... Core... ). Overall, i think it's about how a young person's addiction begins and how it consumes them and robs them of their innocence.

This song means what once was a sweet innocent relationship someone in it went out and did something that cant be taken back. Crossing the line so now it is broken. It will never be the same and lives are changed forever. Although the pain was self chosen. ... R. I. P. Layne may you find piece

When i hear this song it always makes me sad because i think about layne and how hes dead, but anyways my interpretation of this song is about the first "sin" and how we cant change anything. Now im not gona bring religuous shit into this but i think eat of the apple so young would be a reference to the first sin, and ive written my own part means he ( anyone) cant change outcomes so basically the future is already written. Im crawlin back to start could mean that he would be trying to change his own outcome. Also the verses all tell of things such as innocence that we have lost. Now again this is just what i think it means

Unless you have ever woke up junk sick with your life falling apart around you, you will never understand this song. Sincerely regretting the bad choices you have made in life. Watching your best friends turn into hollow shells and fall around you. When you live through that you can understand this song. Or any other Alice in chains song perhaps.
