I was born to score
With women and birds and booze and things
With headers full leather and shots from wings
With overhead kicks and knocks off shins
With toe pokes and volleys with full top spin
I'll never lose the day I scored nine times
My photo in the paper now pass the wine
Come on referee you must be blind
That ball was surely over the line
I was born to score
Like lampard and gerrard and young sterling
And shearer and defoe with shots that sting
And jonathon barnes can't really sing
And maradonas handling
You really can't beat a watering hole
With the football on and crisps in bowls
Having a dig at ashley cole
And dreaming of those scoring goals
I was born to score

This song famously uses what I call the Chas and Dave chords! I try not to use them usually! Its not a sound I usually go for but I needed something pacey to go with the mellow chords I used on the chorus. Its about being a pretty good soccer player, like really good! My legs I'm sure are re-incarnated from someone else!
