alexthomasdavis – A Million Times lyrics

Take a thorn and twist it
Pull the roots out with it
Clear the ground around it
Now do it a million times

Heres the data key it
Take it as you see it
Make a game out of it
Now do it a million times

Each day it comes as no surprise
You might as well close your eyes

This song is about the soul destroying job you sometimes get. Everything seems cool at first, the first couple of times, then you realise you have to repeat a procedure a million times. I had this thought for a poem when I was about 16 and worked at a garden centre. It was then copied (haha!) by The Simpsons, when Bart goes on a french exchange and is told to pull grapes off the vines - now do it a million times! I was there first so I still thought I would cover the premise in the song!
