Of course its freakin medieval theme the album is called "where myth fades to legend" pay attention! U all get it wrong! Its not bout freakin girl boy boy wnts revenge thts so stupid and almost everyone says tht for every song! Either they have a brain the size of an ant or they dnt listen to the freakin lyrics stephen u r so wrong! What does breakin up and wnting to kill his ex have anything to do with the song! I think the most accurate is steelmaine ^-^ thnk goodness at least one person listens to the song alesana is a fantastic band! Dnt ruin the songs by saying theyre bout break ups maybe ur listening to insinc or kelly clarkson but if ur saying tht shit ur not listening to alesana

This song is medieval scene whereas there was this commoner who fell in love
with a witch, having completely trusted her, she hides a dark secret that she
is a witch and is hurting the people the people of the town, or the related
people to him, which is why he had a personal revenge or grudge on her. Having felt guilty for trusting her, he rallies the townspeople against her,
then capture her, tie her to a post, then burn her, and so as she was being
exhausted of the heat, blood begins to pour from her dry mouth, and so
the people cheer and laugh because the wicked witch is dead.

I think its about a jealous witch, who kiddnaps this dude's chick (the scene is in mideval times) and then he rescues his chick, then the witch made a run for it, and this dude or knight is stalking the witch with revenge on his mind. "close your eyes and let your mind escape into a world of dreams" means that literally close your eyes cause this wont be pretty.

Actually... I think its about a guy and his lover. She broke up with him and he has hatred deep inside himself. "and we'll be busy singing, "the wicked witch is dead! "" symbolizes that she is the evil witch to him and he will be joyous when she dies for the pain she has caused him. "close your eyes and let your mind escape into a world of dreams" means that she is dying and her eyes are closing, and "i won't wake you" means "i won't save you". "the next part isn't going to be a very pretty sight" means that the next sight is her death and it isn't going to be pretty. When he talks about her running he is talking about chasing her to put an end to her life. "blood pours from her dry mouth as she begs for mercy" is vivid imagery of his hatred toward her by killing her. Also, when he says "look who's laughing now" he means that the tables have turned, from her breaking his heart and being in control to him ultimately having the revenge [having her heart, literally]. Last but not least, he ends it with "if you think you'll win my forgiveness, awww sweetheart, you're sadly mistaken! " saying that if she thinks he will forgive her for tearing out his heart, then she is dead wrong.

But what do i know? I'm just a 17 year old boy. Although i am just a little deep, as you can tell.
