If only you could see you're the only girl I'd ever dreamed of.

Should I apologize to such pathetic eyes?
Just the sight of you has made me safe tonight.
It was your poison kiss that turned me into this.
Then again there is a chance you could be right.

Darling, will you please take a walk with me?
We can count the stars that disappear.
I wish you could see you're the only girl I'd ever dreamed of.
Are you satisfied?

What fate has led me here? Oh please forgive me dear.
I don't know if I could survive on my own.
I could have married you, instead I buried you.
Now we'll see if I could fall asleep alone.

Darling, will you please take a walk with me?
We can count the stars that disappear.
I wish you could see you're the only girl I'd ever dreamed of.
Are you satisfied?

The nightmare's coming true... It will only be you...
Did it ever burn?
I wish you could see you're the only girl I'd ever dreamed of.

Darling, will you please take a walk with me?
We can count the stars that disappear.
I wish you could see you're the only girl I'd ever dreamed of.
Are you satisfied?

The depth of a man's soul can not be measured in a matter of meters and fathoms, but rather it is in my opinion only qualified by approximating to heaven and hell. I was in such a state that I ushered myself past the town tavern, bursting into scenes of the sounds of laughter and drunken people playing. Had it only been a different night, a different place, a different kind of man passing by the threshold of that innocent pub. The events that transpired there would never have even begun to be grasped by the feat. I could only ask if anyone outside that place had a clue when the exclamations of mirth became the desperate screams of the helpless, begging for their very lives.

"In an abashed state of mind, the Artist begins to blame Annabel for what he has obviously done to her: his depression and paranoia have turned to rage. He moves as quickly as his feet will carry him toward the center of town. Not only is he running from the grisly murder scene, but he's running from the ringing of Annabel's voice in his head. It's as if her spirit is chasing him, torturing what little sanity he has left. He cannot look her in the eyes, he knows it will weaken his anger and he simply cannot allow that to happen. Not now. The Artist begs and pleads with her to leave him be as he sprints toward the town, his intentions still unknown even in his own mind. There's one crippling thought that the Artist cannot seem to escape even in madness: Annabel is the only girl he has ever loved."

"running to town in an ashamed state of mind i began to blame annabel for what i had done to her. The paranoia and depression has turned to rage.

I moved as quickly as my feet could carry me toward the center of town. Not only was i running from the horrid murder scene, i was running from the ringing of annabel’s voice in my head.

It was as if her spirit was chasing me, taking away what sanity i had left. I couldn’t look at the vision of her in the eyes, knowing that it will weaken my anger and i couldn’t let that happen. Not now anyway.

“annabel please go. I know what i have done just please let me be. ” i pleaded quietly as i sprinted towards town; still trying to figure out if what had just happened is real or just a horrible nightmare.

But as i ran there was just one crippling thought that i couldn’t escape even in madness:

Annabel was the only girl i have ever loved. "

This song is clearly about how a man had been absolutely in love and instead of fighting for the one he loved he simply let her walk out of his life. Now he battles the anger and rage inside driving him to love none but only her walking alone in life and only the very sight of her can bring him out of his deep dark place of loathing and unforgivingness...

The Artist now thinks that Annabel deserved to die, that it was her poison kiss that turned him into a monster. Now he goes out into town, craving for blood...
