When I read the lyrics I thought about my pain and all bad things I`ve past because of a boy that doesn`t love me even I could give everything to see him happy. It hurts, but doesn`t matter! I believe this song is about a story like mine... a forbidden and impossible love between "ashes and wine".

P.S.: I`m brazilian, so I`m not sure about my writing... forgive my mistakes!

i think this song isabout a girl who loved a guy..but that guy loved someone else...like...(8)im ill with the thought of your kiss..coffee laced, intoxicating on her lips(8)..it makes her sick to imagine the love of her life with someone else...
maybe i just wish that was the meaning so i knew i wasnt alone.

this is a song about me and my significant other. we are positivly absolutly in love and have been for the past two years. we intend to marry each other and were very close to engagement when we came across the issue of his insecurity and unsurity in our relationship. we are breaking up for anywhere between a month to a year so that he can find himself and get casual dating out of his system and find surity in our future marraige. this has been extremely hard on me and it just seriously blessed my heart to find this song (on the hills haha) and finally find a way to put my feelings to words. we intend on getting back together but for the time being i have "no claim on his freedom" as the song puts so poetically into words as welll as the devasating thought of him possibly being out on a date with some other girl and the feeling of wanting to do something that will make him feel the pain i have felt but not wanting to play the revenge game and also just not knowing what is really going to happen in the end.

this is going to be the hardest, longest, scariest journey of my life thus far, as is for him. but i am willing to go through it with him because i know and trust that this will only strengthen our relationship and that thirty years down the road when we are married we will not be saying "what if" or "if only".

it is just a scary ride and a heartwrenching experience and its hard to keep your spirits up..thus the reason why this song to perfectly fits my feelings.

i think this song is about two people who were in love and they gave it a try the first time around and it might not have been the best try because when your young you always makes mistakes when it comes to love because your learning, but these two people are faced with this decision now when they are a few years older and time has passed and they are faced head on with their past about the decisions they have made along the way and every decision that they have made leads them right back to this tunnel, right back to the beginning of where their love hit, and where they chose to let go. this song is about two people trying to find one another again, it's about two people hoping that their love hasn't died out because they both know that when they see each other again their fate has finally crossed they can't fight it anymore, because they both know that the time apart only made them grow into two separate people, but now they have new beginning it never stopped just was put on pause, see these two people both know that what they found and have been waiting for so long, is they know that they are home, and they know that no one can break them apart, they know that their hearts have always belonged to one another and they are no longer at sea.
